The Ballot

This page gives the instructions for filling out and returning a valid ballot. Every member should receive a ballot in the U.S. Mail. If, for some reason, you do not receive that ballot or wish to obtain a new ballot, you may obtain one at the GEO office or contact your departmental steward.

Please Note: Although members may obtain multiple ballots from GEO, each member may vote only once. In the event that multiple ballots are received from a member, only the first ballot cast will be counted.

How to Prepare a Valid Ballot:

Please follow the following steps in order to cast your vote for the referenda:

  1. Place completed ballot, and NOTHING ELSE, inside small ballot envelope and then seal envelope.
  2. Fill out Ballot Verification Strip. (DO NOT place this inside the ballot envelope.)
  3. Place ballot envelope and completed ballot verification strip in the enclosed GEO-addressed envelope.

Where to Turn In Your Ballot

There are two ways to cast your vote. You may either mail your ballot in the enclosed GEO-addressed envelope, OR hand deliver the ballot to a a departmental steward or other GEO representative.
